From the very beginning of the project, Dr. Renaud DAVIOT's team envisioned increasing the availability of minimally invasive surgery, even in emergency situations or in regions devastated by war, bad weather, natural disasters, or disease.
Thanks to its innovative technologies, precision and versatility, the Cobodoc surgical cobotics system has been designed to provide a rapid deployment of this medical solution in emergency situations, in order to supply medical services and assistance to populations in need.
Humanitarian aid¶
The primary objective of humanitarian healthcare is to save lives in situations where people are confronted with life-threatening conditions. Appropriate medical assistance and response can prevent unnecessary deaths, particularly among the most vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, pregnant women and displaced persons.
Access to healthcare is a fundamental human right. Deploying the Cobodoc surgical cobotics system in humanitarian crises aims to ensure that this right is respected, even in the most difficult circumstances, by promoting human dignity and respect.
Military operations¶
Wartime healthcare, also known as combat or battlefield healthcare, involves providing medical care to military personnel and civilians affected by armed conflict. This type of healthcare is complex and challenging due to the context of conflict zones. It's essential to maintain the quality of care and allocate sufficient resources to meet the healthcare and operational effectiveness needs of military personnel, all while managing the risks associated with providing medical care in combat areas.
As early as the proof-of-concept phase, Dr Renaud DAVIOT's team developed a revolutionary surgical cobotics solution to ensure uninterrupted urgent care for injured soldiers and civilians, helping to reduce casualties. Our cobotic system, powered by Cobodoc technology and software suite is the ultimate tool for responding to medical emergencies and offering specialized expertise in the treatment of combat-related injuries, which can impact the efficiency of military units on the battlefield.
In collaboration with frontline medical teams, we've created a system that offers quick and effective specialized medical care, allowing injured personnel to return to duty promptly. Immediate and proper medical care during and after conflicts can prevent injuries from worsening and causing long-term health issues for both civilians and veterans beyond their active service.
