The Cobodoc surgical system is an advanced technology that contributes to making surgical procedures less invasive and more instinctive, efficient and successful. It’s safe, precise and treats a variety of conditions. Cobodoc is designed specifically to meet the needs of patients, surgeons and the surgical team in terms of precision, dexterity and versatility.
Cobodoc: the only versatile, flexible and modular surgical cobot integrated into a digital ecosystem¶
Cobodoc surgical system is suitable for most medical-surgical specialties and is compatible with currently used energy sources: laser, ultrasound, cryotherapy, radiofrequency. Thanks to its evolutive architecture and flexible configurations, adding new functionalities is simplified, enabling the Cobodoc system to be used for a fast-growing range of surgical procedures improving access to care for patients.
“Cobodoc surgical cobotics system is unique in its precision, versatility and modularity, and aims to become the standard for operating rooms”
More precise and reproducible surgical procedures¶
Cobodoc surgical system has shown that guiding a robot over a moving target is possible and that the concept is transferable to clinical applications. It is possible to obtain a very accurate localization of the tumor while following the movements of the target organ and therefore to position the treatment instruments accurately.
Cobodoc system assists surgeons in the smoothness of their movements with improved control of complex surgical procedures by reducing shakiness, optimizing gestures in space, and eliminating operator fatigue.
“Cobodoc provides better functional benefits than manual expert procedures for high-quality surgical care”
Cobodoc system returns useful data at the exact moment when it's most useful, thanks to its sensors and enhanced vision of the action. Combined with its navigation system, Cobodoc allows surgeons to navigate through difficult patient anatomy in order to reduce the variability of each intervention. Cobodoc overcomes the challenge of operating in soft tissue for a surgical robot.
“Cobodoc simplifies operations on soft tissue”
Cobodoc offers the surgeon a more predictable and reproducible surgical experience whatever the user and the operative gesture. This gives surgeons time to use the real-time data collected in order to make more informed decisions.
A reliable and safe product to reduce average length of stay¶
Thanks to our solution, Cobodoc surgical system eliminates the need for costly or difficult-to-access intraoperative radiological location systems, as well as radiation generated by CT scanners. The aim is to be able to perform treatments in a single day without radiological assistance. By limiting radiological assistance, the medical team saves time during surgery.
“Avoid the need for intra-operative X-ray tracking to reduce toxicity, patient risk and surgical time”
Cobodoc system enhances interventional accuracy for the treatment of cancer cells, limits the treatment diameter and enables the use of focal treatments whose aim is to destroy the target while preserving the organ. In the case of percutaneous cryotherapy treatments of cancerous tumors like kidney tumors, results are more reproducible.
Post-operative risks and complications are reduced, such as infections and pain management. Patient trauma is limited, ensuring rapid recovery of their independence. Post-operative recovery and medical duration of stay are significantly reduced.
Ergonomically designed for operating rooms¶
The Cobodoc surgical system is installed on a lightweight, maneuverable cart making it easy to move around the OR, transport between rooms and set up in dedicated speciality rooms.
An automated procedure for setting up the Cobodoc system and intuitive guidance reduce the time wasted on installation compared with conventional surgical robots, and boost operating room efficiency.
The wide range of applications for Cobodoc surgical cobotics means that we can offer an easily mobile tool whose ergonomics are suited to operating rooms however old they may be.
Thanks to the Cobodoc surgical system, surgeons enjoy a benefit in terms of operator comfort meaning fewer osteoarticular sequelae after many years of practice.
Making surgical robotics more widely available¶
Thanks to its innovative technology and simplified maintenance, Cobodoc surgical system is designed to make minimally invasive surgery increasingly accessible while keeping costs under control. Its capabilities, accuracy and flexibility allow it to be easily deployed in hospitals around the world, to be used by novice surgeons or those who are not experts in the pathology to be treated, for safer and more reliable interventions.
“Cobodoc system is the missing piece for the best care standard in healthcare departments around the world”
Cobodoc solution enables expert-level surgical gestures to be distributed in countries or places where these practices do not exist or cannot be carried out with conventional robotics or due to a lack of practitioners. The Cobodoc solution enables surgeons to ensure that surgery is done properly even remotely.
“Cobodoc system opens the way to global collaborations for remote intelligent surgeries anywhere in the world”
